Without a doubt, Verona, Italy, is the capital of equestrian events in Europe. Renowned Fiera Cavalli closed its 124th edition a week ago. Today, Veronafiere opened its doors to European reiners competing in the 2022 edition of the $800,000-Added IRHA/IRHBA/NRHA Futurity offering $800,000 added money.

The best 4-year-old horses and riders in Europe competed in the beautiful Verona Fair pavilion vying for a spot in the $211,465-added Infoal Partners IRHA/NRHA 4-year-old Open Futurity.

Level 4 & Level 3

In a field of 45 entries in Level (L)4 and 55 entries in the L3, NRHA Professional Lukasz Czechowicz of Poland rode CSG Wisemanfear (NRHA Million Dollar Sire Colonels Shining Gun x Tejana Chic) for owner Katarzina Roleska to a top score of 222 in both the divisions.

With a 221, Czechowicz went on to post the second-highest score in both divisions—this time aboard CSG Kenzo (NRHA Million Dollar Sire Colonels Shining Gun x Shiner Brimolena)— also owned by Roleska.

Level 2

Matteo Vedovato of Italy took the top score (216.5) in the L2 counting 64 entries riding Heza Frozen Inferno (NRHA Million Dollar Sire Inferno Sixty Six x Sailor Will Win) owned by Equine LLC Latigo Global. A point behind, Belgium’s Matyas Gobert riding Vintage Days RM (NRHA Three Millon Dollar Sire A Sparkling Vintage x Starmax RM) owned by Benjamin El Hichiri Julie Douillet, and Kaya Ahissar of Israel, aboard Sail On Chexx (Chexolution x Sailor Whiz Ina) owned by Eyal Carmon, closed with the second highest score.

Level 1

Mattia Camisi of Italy rode PL Gunspooky (NRHA Thirteen Million Dollar Sire Colonels Smoking Gun x Spook Reyns) owned Luigi Parise to top the leaderboard with a 214 score in the L1 division counting 38 entries. Riding to the second-highest score was Italian Silvia Racco and Lil Joe A Whiz (NRHA Two Million Dollar Sire Lil Joe Cash x A Whiz N Wranglers) owned by Martina Pignataro.

The 4-year-old IRHA Futurity Open Finals will take place on Friday, November 17.

Non pro action will fill the day in Verona on Saturday 12 with the $101,185-Added IRHA/NRHA 4-year-old Futurity qualifier followed by the $145,525-Added 3-year-old IRHA/IRHBA/NRHA Non Pro Futurity go round.
