Cremona, March 25 — The $305.700-Added IRHA-IRHBA-NRHA Derby is set to start on Tuesday, March 26, in Cremona, Italy, with the first section of the Non Pro division. Over 500 horses have settled in the CremonaFiere facility where competitors will have the chance to show in the IRHA-IRHBA-NRHA Derby — open to horses enrolled in the IRHBA Stallion and Foal Incentive Program — or in the IRHA-NRHA Derby for horses not enrolled in the program.

"The IRHBA breeding incentive program, the backbone of the 3-year-old Italian Futurity, has once again proven its strength and since last year has introduced the IRHBA Derby. The result is a record-breaking number of horses entered and an ever-increasing purse," said NRHA Hall of Fame Inductee and IRHA President, Eleuterio Arcese. "This year, thanks to our sponsors and IRHA/IRHBA Board members, we will be offering the $1.000.000-added NRHA European Futurity, the very first million dollar competition held in Europe, and the total added money offered in 2024 in the three events managed by IRHA and organized by TFY's Giancarlo Doardo — Derby, Euro Futurity, and IRHA Futurity — will total over $2.1 million!"

Just as proud is IRHBA President, Roberto Cuoghi — who took over the association's reins last year — and whose priority was that of expanding the program to older horses and increasing the purse over the years to come.

"It's always a pleasure to welcome reiners to Cremona, their second home," said event organizer Doardo. "Last year we revisited the venue so as to make it all the more functional and pleasant for horses, riders, and visitors. This year our focus was on the arena ground which was rebuilt under the guidance of highly credited professionals."
