$1 Million-Added NRHA European Futurity Presented by DeNiroBootCo: Zehetbauer and SS Gunnafreezeya Top the $300.000-Added European Futurity Non Pro Qualifier Credits Bonaga Communication

Cremona, 21 May — The National Reining Horse Association (NRHA) European Futurity Open and Non Pro action filled the day in Cremona, Italy, with Anna-Maria Zehetbauer and SS Gunnafreezeya (NRHA $3 Million Sire SG Frozen Enterprize x Gunnaoutfoxya) holding the lead gained in the first section of the Level (L)4 Non Pro Qualifier.

The young Austrian rider and her mare, owned and nominated by Zeidelhof Reining Horses and bred by Silver Spurs Equine—an NRHA/Markel Elite Yearling Sale grad—scored a 216 to top the leaderboard yesterday.

In the L3 division, Italy’s Matteo Capello rode Tenuta Equitem’s Gunners Ravenclaw (Gunner Dun It Again x Wimpystein), a gelding bred by Samantha Serafini and nominated by Alberto Capello, to a 214.5 score for the lead.

Yair Hof of Israel and his own CSG Denver, a gelding by NRHA $3 Million Dollar Sire Colonels Shining Gun out of Shiney Tinseltown, bred and nominated by Katarzyna Roleska, rode to the highest score—211.5—in the L2 division.

On top of the L1 with a 210 score was Italy’s Chiara Alboni and her own Ops I Did It Again (Gunner Dun It Again x Dun Whiz Crome), a mare bred and nominated by Luga Quarter Horses.

In the American Paint Horse Association (APHA) Chrome Cash European Futurity L4 and L3 Non Pro divisions, taking the lead with a 204.5 was Italy’s Camilla Orlandini and BH Gunna Step Ya (NRHA $13 Million Dollar Sire Gunnatrashya x Star Wimpis Delmaso), a gelding owned by Alice Marinoni, bred by Bosin M. Hubert, and nominated by BH Farm.

Giulia Travagli of Italy and her own FV Whiz Gotta Gun (NRHA $10 Million Dollar Sire Spooks Gotta Whiz x Miss Cocked Gun), a stallion bred and nominated by Francesco Vasanella, scored a 209.5 to lead the L2 and L1.

The first Open riders competing for a spot in the Finals, which will be held on Saturday, May 24, maintained a high level of competition today in the CremonaFiere arena. The highest score of the day in the first section of the European Futurity Open Qualifier was the 222 posted by Italian NRHA Professional Nico Sicuro aboard Churchill Twenty One (NRHA $15 Million Dollar Sire Gunner x Dance Little Spook), a stallion owned, bred, and nominated by Quarter Dream. The duo also led the APHA Chrome Cash L4 European Futurity Open Qualifier.
